88 Supermarket Participates in “Pakighimamat” – An Evening of Culture and Community Support

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, 88 Supermarket had the honour of participating in Pakighimamat 2025—a special community event hosted by the Filipino community at St. Patrick Parish. The evening served as a meaningful celebration of culture, unity, and resilience.

As a proud sponsor, 88 Supermarket was grateful for the opportunity to engage with dedicated community members and leaders who continue to strengthen the social fabric of British Columbia’s Filipino community.

To support the Pakighimamat event and its meaningful celebration of culture and unity, we made a donation to St. Patrick Parish. It was an honour to contribute to an occasion that brought people together in the spirit of connection and shared heritage.

In response to the April 26 tragedy, we also made a separate donation to United Way BC’s Kapwa Strong Fund to support those affected. We stand in solidarity with those impacted and remain committed to initiatives that promote healing, resilience, and unity.

As part of the evening’s program, we also hosted a raffle draw to bring an added sense of joy to the event. Prizes included an Acer Chromebook, 88 Supermarket gift cards, and branded gift packages—offered as a gesture of appreciation for the attendees’ continued support.

The event reminded us of the power of togetherness and the importance of giving back. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who welcomed us so warmly and made this evening a memorable and impactful occasion.
