Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers with questions, recommendations and reaching for items.
  • Support customers in any situation of emergency and accident and inform manager/supervisor immediately
  • Daily placement of merchandise to make it available to customers
  • Handle and prepare meat products 
  • Wrapping, packaging, labeling meat and meat products
  • Stocking and maintaining the meat display
  • Carrying out stock rotation 
  • Process customer meat orders and special order meat product requests
  • Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements
  • Comply and implement all applicable company standards
  • Comply with all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, company policies, and other programs and initiatives
  • Participate in the training of junior staff
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Able to move, lift and carry a minimum of 20-50lbs
  • Flexible to work day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts as required
  • Able to stand and walk around for long periods at a time
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment consistently
